To help you select the best water pump for your needs, we provide two comparison charts for our piston pumps.
The first chart presents the maximum flow rate and maximum pressure for each water pump. Flow rates are measured in litres per hour, while pressure is indicated in psi, and vertical lift is shown in metres.
The second chart details the maximum pressure and the electrical power required to achieve that pressure. Power requirements are expressed in horsepower (HP), with pressure again shown in psi and vertical lift in meters. All of our pumps are designed to operate at an output of 1,450 RPM.
If you plan to use a petrol or diesel motor, it is important to triple the power indicated on the chart. You will also need to adjust the RPM to match the 1,450 RPM that the pumps are designed to handle. This typically requires a 2:1 reduction gearbox, as most petrol or diesel engines run at 3,000 to 4,000 RPM. We recommend against directly mounting a petrol or diesel motor since these engines produce significant vibrations that can adversely affect the lifespan of the pump.
