Cups are essential for your piston pump. As they move inside the liner, they create suction to draw water up and push it through to where it’s needed. At Track, we manufacture and supply cups in two materials—leather and synthetic—each designed to suit different operating conditions.

Leather Cups

Leather has a natural advantage: it absorbs water and expands to seal tightly inside the liner, filling small gaps that other materials can’t. This makes leather cups highly effective in specific applications:

• Best for: cool, non-corrosive liquids and lower pressures (up to 100psi)
• Sizes: our standard range runs from under 1” through to 8”, with many variations in between

We also offer Soft Spun Leather Cups, suitable for hand-held sprayers, caravan tap pumps and other applications.

Synthetic Cups

Synthetic cups are moulded from strong, durable synthetic material, giving them superior strength and versatility. We manufacture two main types:

• Tulip Cups: Hard black fabric impregnated rubber cups. Hand-woven and pressed for extra resilience, these cups handle hot liquids (up to 95 degrees Celsius) and chemicals with ease. Designed for high-pressure applications (up to 350psi)
• Towner Cups: Tapered neoprene rubber sides with fabric-impregnated base, these hybrid cups are easier to fit and maintain. They’re ideal for moderate-pressure systems, handling up to 150psi.
